Black Swan IN CONCERT at McMennamin's Mission Theater & Pub Celebrates 100 Years of Recorded Jazz

For the first time in umpteen years, Black Swan Classic Jazz Band will be presenting concert performance in our home town of Portland, Oregon. Sponsored by Portland Jazz, this performance will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the seminal first recording of jazz at the hands of New Orleans' Original Dixieland Jass Band, the music that inspired them, along with the torrid dozen years or so of hot jazz that followed. Doors open at the Mission Theater at 6:30 located at 1624 NW Glisan Street in Portland. Be sure to get your tickets online in advance at Cascades Tickets to take advantage of the deep discount.

PDX Jazz is a non-profit cultural arts organization dedicated to curating jazz in Portland, Oregon and fostering the growth of musical offerings in the Pacific Northwest. We strive with your contributions and sponsorship to inspire, educate and develop future jazz audiences for generations to come.
