Jammers start at noon and we hit the downbeat at 1 p.m. Entertaining you will be seven of our merry band of brothers and sister, and one new face for the occasion. Our guest is Eugene trombonist Glenn Griffith. Glenn is a versatile and busy musician and, though it has been a while, has popped in on occasion with the band in years past. The rest of the lineup is comprised of: Marilyn Keller, vocals; Rick Holzgrafe, cornet; Ron Leach, drums; John Bennett, piano; Steve Matthes, clarinet; Alan Phillips, banjo; and Kit Johnson, tuba.

Seaside Jazz Festival

Hot dawg! We're headed back to our own backyard to participate in this wonderful hot jazz event held in 2017 from February 23rd through the 26th! This festival sports a stellar lineup of bands. Dave Bennett's Memphis Speed Kings, High Sierra, Cornet Chop Suey and Uptown Lowdown are just a few of the terrific acts. Let 'em know you'll be there!

Black Swan will feature our original reed man Mark Curry on this occasion, as Steve Matthes is being recognized for his work with Rotary that weekend. You'll also enjoy the more familiar work of cornetist Rick Holzgrafe, drummer Ron Leach, banjoist Alan Phillips (maybe he'll even sing a ditty or two), vocalist Marilyn Keller, clarinetist, trombonist Don Stone, pianist John Bennett and Kit Johnson (who will be making flatulent-esque sounds on the mighty brass bass).
