We held our third self-produced concert at Corvallis' Majestic Theater, a matinee performance. This concert featured vocalist Gale Hazel, a wonderful singer from Corvallis who performs in a wide array of styles.

Portland's Old Church
Portland's Old Church, a historical facility at 11th and Clay was the site for this self-produced concert. It was the band's first concert at the Old Church, but hopefully not the last, as it is a wonderful facility.

Florence Performing Arts
This was the opening concert for the Florence Performing Arts Society's 1996-97 calendar year and the first in the series at the new Florence Community Center, a wonderful theater with concert seating for approximately 450 people.

Ocean Shores Dixieland Festival
The BSCJB returned to Ocean Shores for the third time in 1996 and were rewarded with good weather (a rarity this time of year).

This was our first trip to Arizona and a great opportunity to enjoy November in the desert. The sites were great, people were wonderful, and provided an opportunity to hear some great bands for the first time. The band performed special Fats Waller and Gospel concerts during the weekend.

Hilton Hotel - Anniversary Celebration
We celebrated a corporate anniversary with Ewe Me & Company at the hotel at this performance. Due to a sudden rash of illness and other conflicts we redubbed the name of the band "Black Swan Minus Four Plus a Different Four" for the evening.
